23-24 Covid Information
As we continue to navigate the challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for all our students. We would like to inform you of the latest updates in the guidelines provided by the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) regarding COVID-19 protocols.
We are pleased to share that in alignment with the most recent guidelines from the ODE, there will no longer be automatic exclusions directly associated with COVID-19 cases. Instead, we will be following symptom-based exclusion guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of all members of our school community.
In the event that your child tests positive for COVID-19, we kindly request that you adhere to the symptom-based exclusion guidelines recommended by health authorities. This means that your child should stay home until they meet the criteria for return, which includes being fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications and showing improvement in other symptoms.
Furthermore, in our continuous efforts to mitigate the risk of transmission and maintain a safe environment for everyone, we strongly encourage all students who test positive for COVID-19 or experience symptoms to wear a mask for a period of 10 days following the day of onset of symptoms or the day of testing positive, whichever occurs earlier.
Thank you for your continued partnership in maintaining a safe and nurturing educational environment for our students.
Sincerely,
The TTSD District Nursing Staff
